My husband & I live in Benton, AR where I was born & raised. I have spent the last 7 yrs. breeding & selling Chihuahua puppies (only 2 litters a year) while Jerry, my husband worked outside the home. I also worked outside the home until just over a year ago when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes & was forced to leave my job of nearly 6 yrs.
I currently have the last of my puppies available tor sale & have made the decision to retire from that business. We started out 7 yrs. ago with a beautiful velveteen blue male Chihuahua that Jerry could not live without, & it flourished from there. In Sept. of last year, we lost Jerry's Little Boy Blue to a 2 yr. battle with cancer. It was devastating, & we decided, then, that after the 2 litters this year, we would not breed anymore.
It is time to move on. I am still in the home, & Jerry is still working. I am hoping to find another project or adventure to occupy my time. We both have always had an interest in the Sphynx breed of cats, but knew we never could afford one. The fact that 'Blue' was nearly hairless was one of the characteristics that we loved about him. At that time, we figured that was as close as we would ever get to getting the 'cat' we so desired.
Well, we aren't any closer to being able to afford our Sphynx yet. In fact, we may be even farther back, but I am hoping to be able to sell these last puppies & re-home my adult Chihuahuas to make room for what we have both always wanted.
Wish us luck!!!!
